Eris is unquestionably the most massive of the known dwarf planets and was once thought to be the largest due to its relative brightness. Eris is a large rocky body covered in a relatively thin mantle of ice. Eris' surface was also found to be extremely reflective, bouncing back 96 percent of the light that strikes it. That makes Eris one of the most reflective in the solar system. Eris' surface is probably composed of a nitrogen-rich ice mixed with frozen methane in a layer less than 1 millimeter thick. The dwarf planet is often so far from the sun that its atmosphere collapses and freezes into an icy glaze. The activities that will be provided to us during this trip are ice climbing and visiting the galaxy's most famous ice castle, Eris Enchanted.
